Project description:

The assumptions of the project provided for:

  1. Development of strategic documents presenting a holistic approach to smart city development. They have set goals and directions for the comprehensive transformation of Kłodzko. These were: the smart city development strategy – SMART CITY KŁODZKO STRATEGY and the Urban Climate Adaptation Plan.
  2. Development of 9 complete implementation documentation and preparation of intelligent solutions responding to diagnosed problems. The tools for better city management concern:
    1. sustainable mobility – as a result, the following were created: Intelligent Parking System, City Bike System, bicycle paths, electric car charging stations;
    2. smart grids – as a result, the following were created: Municipal Lighting Management System, Energy consumption monitoring system in municipal public buildings, Municipal Waste Management System, energy audits in municipal public buildings;
    3. ecotechnology and eco-solutions – as a result, the following were created: ECOkindergarten, ECOTownHall.
  3. Carrying out a pilot project Clean Kłodzko City Center, including the implementation of:
    1. ECO-Kłodzko application containing information on waste, parking spaces, bicycle paths, air pollution, electric car charging stations. The aim was to create databases and develop information resources about the city and thus better management of the city;
    2. an intelligent traffic management system, including controlled bollards, monitoring, a communication system with drivers to reduce transport emissions in the city center;
    3. green walls in 3 locations in the city center. The goal was to improve air quality and introduce model solutions;
    4. public opinion polls (evaluation of the implemented solution by residents).
  4. Educational activities.
