KROSNO (town between 20k and 100k inhabitants)

Voivodship: Podkarpackie

Project title: Involved in eKrosno – Intelligent solutions of data processing systems for the residents of Krosno

Total value of the project: 3.979.504,52 PLN

Subsidy amount: 3.581.554,07 PLN

Implementation period: 1.09.2019 – 31.12.2022

Leading area of the project: Smart grids

Project website: www.krosno.pl

Project description:

As part of the project, the city developed an intelligent, pro-ecological and cost-effective water supply network, using data from sensors located on the network and at the recipients, which communicates not only with the network manager, but also with its users and learn its correct water consumption, assess the degree of danger and report anomalies.

An in-depth analysis of the problems in the functioning of the municipal water supply network allowed for the development of a prototype of data exchange architecture between IT / domain systems adapted to a large volume of information.

The pilot implementation of system integration allowed to verify the possibilities of processing data from sensors to eCSC, so as to involve residents / entrepreneurs in the assessment of the project effects during the design phase.

Tests were carried out to verify the condition of the water supply network on the basis of data from sensors on the network and at the customers' premises, based on the IWA methodology, the result of which was a set of recommendations for measures to improve the quality of water supply to the inhabitants of the city of Krosno.

A methodology for finding water supply network failures invisible on the surface was developed, based on data from the network and individual recipients, a methodology for reducing water losses in the water supply network along with the recommendation of optimal measurement and IT tools. Patterns of processes for the principles of operation of the Central Water Dispatching Center were created.

Patterns of water supply network monitoring systems, MPGK technical facilities of the Municipal Enterprise of Urban Economy (SUW, hydrophore), mass recipients (factories, multi-unit buildings) and individual recipients were prepared, thanks to which it was determined what data should be collected from individual points and with what frequency.

Finally, on the basis of the collected data, the rules for creating a remote reading system for water meters were created, as well as optimal profiles of leakage thresholds for individual diameters of water meters.

The results of the research were collected in a catalog of technical expertise and recommendations helpful in implementation in the water supply systems of medium / large cities.
