Project description:
As part of the project, a pilot, model common space was created, the construction of which is a measure of the effectiveness of existing activities and a guide to the implementation of the developed solutions in other districts.
The main activities of the project were:
- Diagnosis of the residents' needs (current and potential);
- Urban audit – in order to assess the potential of the area, it was necessary to recognize the current state of accessibility of public and non-public services at the level of each district;
- The participatory strategy of the Smart District Strategy and the concept of an exemplary common space (District I) serving as a local center, contributing to the integration of residents and animating social and cultural life;
- Construction and evaluation of a test common space in District I;
- Implementation of the project in other districts of Minsk. Further implementation of the project consisted in repeating the process in parallel in other districts during the project implementation. In addition, in 3 selected districts, construction and executive documentation of common spaces was prepared.
