Project description:
The project was a response to the need to create and implement a strategic plan that would outline the vision, goals and directions for intelligent development of Nowa Ruda. The Development Strategy was marginally related to smart city issues. It was also a response to the burning problems of the city losing its socio-economic functions. These problems have been identified in the environmental, social, spatial and infrastructural spheres on the basis of: questionnaire research, working meetings and analysis of strategic documents (commune, agglomeration, voivodship).
For this purpose, following activities were implemented in the project (i.a.):
- Updating the city's strategy with particular emphasis on the areas of smart cities: quality of life, human capital, environment, economy, mobility, management (the update was developed using the indicators from the PN-ISO 37120 standard);
- Preparation of project documentation for:
- Intelligent Energy Management System in Public Buildings, including: inventory, audit, conceptual design, functional and utility programme and feasibility study;
- Intelligent Urban Lighting Management System, including: audit, conceptual design, functional and utility programme and feasibility study;
- Intelligent Air Data Collection and Transmission System, including: conceptual design, expertise regarding the location of sensors, functional and utility programme and feasibility study.
- Implementation of pilot solutions responding to the diagnosed problems and aimed at reducing the emission of pollutants and reducing the energy consumption of municipal infrastructure (the implementation of 3 Intelligent Systems is to be used for: energy management in public buildings, urban lighting management,collecting and transmitting air data);
- Educational and participatory activities.
