Project description:
The project consisted of three types of activities:
1. Investment (road transport, flood protection system and air monitoring);
2. Planning and organizational (preparation of the Development Plan for Smart City solutions in Tomaszów Mazowiecki, development of technical documentation for planned investments, pilot implementation of a crowdsourcing platform);
3. Training and education (e.g. for children, youth, teachers, residents, non-governmental organizations, employees of local government administration) along with competitions for children and youth.
As regards intelligent technological solutions, a system of water sensors was built in the city and a mobile truck weight was installed, thanks to which the traffic of overloaded trucks on Tomaszów's roads was limited, which in turn is expected to reduce the level of air pollution.
In the field of social activities, a Social Participation Platform was created along with a mobile application. It is an information system that allows the publication of the most important information for residents, as well as giving the possibility of feedback, e.g. by reporting threats and irregularities in the urban space.
